Our First Puppy

I just got this puppy in hand 2 days ago. My aunt sent it from KK. Actually it is our wedding gift (again?).My aunt know that I need a dog, the fierce and trusted one to guard my backyard. I first thought it is Rottweiler when my aunt Whatsapp me this picture because she said it is police's dog. She didn't mentioned what kind of breed. So I thought it is Rottweiler. I am this stupid when comes to dog. I eventually know that it is German Shephard.

I googled about this dog and I am very happy to know few interesting facts about them.

Aloof
German shepherds love their owners, but aren’t so fond of strangers. Properly trained and socialized shepherds aren’t aggressive with strangers, but they make it known that they don’t want someone they’re not familiar with to cross into their territory.

Protective

In addition to being a bit standoffish with strangers, shepherds belt out a vicious-sounding bark when anyone knocks on your door. And they won’t hesitate to protect the ones who love them if danger would arise. They’re especially – and sometimes to a fault – protective of children.

Intelligent

In the book The Intelligence of Dogs, author Stanley Coren ranked the breed third for intelligence, behind Border Collies and Poodles. He found that they had the ability to learn simple tasks after only five repetitions and obeyed the first command given 95% of the time. Coupled with their strength, this trait makes the breed desirable as policeguard and search and rescue dogs, as they are able to quickly learn various tasks and interpret instructions better than other large breeds.

Curious

A German shepherd isn’t one to stay away from something because he’s not sure what it is. They love exploring their surroundings, often checking out a yard’s boundary when they go outside each day. Their curiosity is especially noticeable when they’re puppies, getting into everything they can get their paws and nose on.

Agile

German shepherds can nearly instantly break into top speed, come to a sudden stop and round a sharp corner without stumbling over themselves or their surroundings. It’s one of the many reasons they’re often used as a police and military dog. Puppies are considerably less graceful, because of their lengthy limbs they can’t quite handle.

Wolf-like appearance dog

They are definitely the right breed to guard my house. I just need to learn about how to train them. So far, I put them in a small kennel. Hubby said he will make a bigger kennel. I still don't have chance to spend time with them. I give them Lactogen milk and plain porridge. Now they are 2 months old. Today, I let them play around the house. They pooped 4 times. I have to cleaned it. I need to find way how to train them to poop at the right place. I am curious how intelligent they are as they claimed the third ranked of intelligence dog.
I am a happy new puppy owner!

Valentine As Husband and Wife

I don't really celebrate Valentine but I do practice it as one special day among the 365 days. We are not that romantic couple but I think hubby still have the idea of going out for special dinner. I heard he suggested it .May be it is opportunity to make me rest from the kitchen.

This valentine, hubby went to KK with his friends to buy car accessories. Of course I had voice out to join them but he seems like want to go with his friends. So I didn't discuss it long. I let them go. I'm in a process to be flexible with my hubby. Flexible when he needed time to be with his friend, allow him to watch football until morning while I have to sleep alone etc. I don't want to be a queen control.

For sure, there will be no special dinner outside because hubby only at home at night. So, I planned to bake a cake. Chocolate lava cake. A treat for hubby for valentine. Hmm...my first trial didn't turn out well.

It tasted ok but the texture was not up my expectation. I ate 2 cups and the rest put them on refrigerator. I won't let my hubby eat my unsuccessful product.

Hubby only went home at 9pm. I didn't cook because he already sms me he tapau Mcd and Big Apple doughnut. To make it short, after we finished with the dinner and talked about his journey to KK, he hand me over this.

I couldn't help to smile. I can't hide my happiness. First, because of the present,. Second, I knew he refused to bring me to KK because he wanted to buy me this present and give me surprise. Before this, I told hubby I like surprise and I like jewelry. Not because I like to wear it like 'mamy jarum' but it is an investment. I prefer my hubby spend his money to buy gold for me rather than something else that cost the same but worthless. In fact, I seldom wear my jewelry. I don't feel comfortable feeling something hanging on me.

As for me, I didn't have any present for my hubby since my lava chocolate cake was failed. But while waiting for hubby to arrived from KK, I did clean the house. Well, that was my little valentine present for my hubby. He came home happily seeing the house clean and tidy.

I pray that God will keep our heart warmly for each other forever. Loving and taking care each other no matter what happen.
